Using Fusion's capabilities is based around a simple policy framework and the assignment of policies to an application.
A policy in Fusion is simply a group of reusable common settings that can be assigned to an application. This means that you can create a single policy and reuse it by applying it to one or more applications.
Fusion has seven major types of policy and each provides a distinct set of capabilities. Each is discussed in depth within this guide.
1) Adaptive MFA Policy
2) Self-Service Policy
3) Social and External Login Providers
4) Lifecycle Event Hooks
5) Consent Management Policy
6) Notification Policy
7) Branding Policy
An Application in Fusion represents the secure and trusted relationship between your customer-facing portal or application and Fusion.
Once you have configured your web portal or application to trust Fusion (more on how to do that later), you then simply assign configuration or policies to that application for your settings to take effect (which they do immediately). It's that easy!
The diagram below illustrates the relationship between your web portal/application, a Fusion application and Fusion policies.
