Social login
Strivacity allows customers to sign in to your applications using existing accounts from supported social identity providers.
When a customer authenticates using a social login provider, they are redirected back to your application. Depending on your configuration, selected profile information from the provider can be stored in the Strivacity Identity Store. You can also control how frequently this information is updated.
Key features
Social login
Strivacity supports the following social identity providers. Refer to the setup guides to configure each provider:
- Set up Apple login
- Set up Amazon login
- Set up Facebook login
- Setup GitHub login
- Setup Google login
- Setup LinkedIn login
- Setup Microsoft login
- Setup X login
Customer registration
When a social login provider is enabled for an application, customers can register using their social account. During registration, consent is requested, and based on that consent, profile attributes are synchronized with the Strivacity Identity Store.
Customer authentication
After registering with a social login provider, customers can continue to use that account for future sign-ins. This removes the need to create and manage separate credentials, such as a username, password, or additional authentication factors.
Customer data handling
Strivacity can synchronize and store social profile data at each login. If a customer uses multiple social providers, the account is updated incrementally. Attributes from the most recent successful login take precedence, ensuring that the stored profile data remains current.
OAuth 2.0 scopes
Strivacity supports OAuth 2.0 scopes, allowing you to control which profile attributes are requested and stored from each social provider.
Social login claim management
In addition to standard OIDC claim handling, administrators can configure claim mappings for social login providers. This provides control over which customer attributes are stored in Strivacity and shared with integrated systems, such as CRM platforms.
The social login process
The social login process starts in the Strivacity login experience, redirects the customer to the selected provider for authentication, and then returns the customer to the application.
This flow applies to all supported social login providers. Refer to the provider-specific guides above for configuration details.
