Fastpath
Fastpath streamlines repeat sign-ins by allowing eligible customers to access an application without re-entering identifiers, passwords, or MFA challenges.
Combined with device recognition, Keep me logged in can remove friction from the sign-in experience entirely for a single customer account in a browser. Fastpath skips account selection and forwards the customer directly to the brand portal.
Fastpath is triggered when these conditions are met:
- The customer has selected Keep me logged in during a previous sign-in.
- Only one account identifier is remembered in the browser’s session.
- The customer is signing in from a trusted device, meaning:
- They opted to Remember this device at a previous MFA step.
- The device is still within the recognition lifetime set in Adaptive rules.
- The session is still valid (within inactivity timeout and session max age, if configured).
When these conditions are satisfied, Strivacity can bypass the identifier, password, and MFA prompts, streamlining the login flow.
Identifier fastpath
If exactly one identifier is remembered, the customer bypasses the identifier entry screen. This behavior is controlled under: Application > General > Identifier and session management > Remember account identifiers after session ends.
Options include:
- Always remember identifiers
- User chooses to remember (checkbox shown, checked or unchecked by default)
- Never remember identifiers
If no identifier is remembered, the identifier screen is shown. If multiple identifiers are remembered, the account selection screen is shown.
Password fastpath
If the customer previously checked Keep me logged in, they may bypass the password screen. This is configured under: Application > General > Identifier and session management > Keep me logged in.
Available options include:
- Always keep users logged in
- User chooses (checked or unchecked by default)
- Never keep users logged in
If Fastpath applies, the session continues without prompting for a password.
MFA fastpath
If the customer previously selected Remember this device, MFA can also be skipped on trusted devices. This setting is configured under: Policies > Adaptive access > Adaptive rules > Device recognition.
When enabled, customers can mark a device as trusted at login. If that device is still recognized, MFA prompts are skipped for the duration of the recognition period.
Fastpath does not override security policies. If conditions aren’t fully met (for example, multiple remembered identifiers or expired device recognition), customers will still be prompted for the relevant authentication step.
