Monthly active users (MAUs)

Strivacity uses monthly active users (MAUs) as the usage measure for pricing, rather than pricing individual product capabilities separately.

A monthly active user is a unique customer with a Strivacity Identity Store account who is authorized to access a Strivacity application and is active at least once during a calendar month.

How MAUs are counted

Each customer is counted as one MAU for a calendar month, regardless of how many times they access or use an application during that month.

Activity through refresh tokens also counts toward MAU usage. A customer may therefore be counted as active when access associated with their account is renewed through a refresh token, even if they do not complete a new interactive login.

For example:

  • A customer who logs in once during a calendar month counts as one MAU.
  • A customer who logs in several times and uses multiple refresh tokens during the same month still counts as one MAU.
  • A customer whose access is renewed through a refresh token without a new interactive login counts as one MAU.
  • A customer with no activity during the calendar month does not count as an MAU for that month.

MAU counts are calculated separately for each calendar month.

Agentic access

Agentic access does not create a separate type of MAU. Customers who authorize an agent are counted according to the same MAU rules as other customers.

Activity generated through an authorized agent, including refresh-token use associated with the customer’s account, can cause the customer to be counted as active even when they do not interact directly with Strivacity or the application during that month.

Agentic adoption is measured separately from pricing by tracking the number of active customers who have authorized an agent to access their account. This metric does not attempt to determine whether the agent was active independently of the customer.
